Insurance, DBS & Qualifications

INSURANCE

The club is insured via insure4sport with public liability and coach insurance included. If any athlete wants to take out personal accident insurance we suggest contacting insure4sport to do so.  Our equipment is also insured.

DBS CHECKS

Any Staff and Coaching member that is over 18 years old will be checked through our registered system Care Check.  If it is found the DBS is not clear a decision will be made by the committee on if the offence is relatable to our cheerleading club.

QUALIFICATIONS

All of our Coaches are Qualified to Levels 1 & 2 standard.  Our Trainee Coaches are

learning skills and when we think ready will be paid for by the club to attend their 

qualification, once passed their status will turn to Coach.

It is our intention to research courses for Assistant & Junior Coaches and to enrol 

them on courses whenever possible.  We will aim to hold in club training classes also.

​

We will encourage all members of staff to complete free safeguarding training on the Blackburn with Darwen Councils platform & keep up to date with new courses available.
