CVA Finance, Fees and Refund Policy

Why fees are needed to participate in CVA

Fees are the main source of income for our club, and are crucial to the day to day running of

the company. The fees paid by parents for participation are the ways in which our club pays

for all of its expenses, such as the rent of our building, insurance, utilities, coaching costs,

maintenance costs. Fees are mandatory for each attendee and all attendees are subject to the same fee structure, unless they are issued a discount as detailed below.

CVA remains a Community Group and all excess funds, once costs have been paid, roll straight back into the gym to improve the facilities and the opportunities offered for each and every athlete.

Where the listed fees can be found

All training fees can be found in the following places:

Additional fees, such as competition fees, will be communicated at the beginning of each season to all the parents.

Training Fees – competition teams

This should be paid on the 1st or 15th of each month, to the Cheer Valley bank account.

Any fees that are more than 5 days late, may result in your child being sat out or removed from their squad. 

Training fees cover all scheduled sessions. Extra sessions will be an additional fee.

Membership Fee

As a Community Group we charge a yearly membership fee, we incorporate a number of items into that fee, currently this is £20 for the year.

• Insurance

• Music (where appropriate)

• Season t-shirt

• Any external choreography

This fee is non-refundable.

Additional Costs

You will need to purchase the following items for your athlete

• Competition uniform

• Cheer trainers

• White trainer socks

• Customised team specific bow/bows

Discounts Available

During Half Term camps and Summer Camps we offer sibling discounts. These are at the staff/coaches discretion and may be removed if used unfairly.

Refunds

Refunds will not be given for any training fees paid should an athlete leave mid-training. 

We reserve the right to with-hold Spectator Tickets ordered and paid for, for upcoming

competitions, in case they are needed for a sub coming in for the athlete in light of the gap

they have left. If they are not needed by us, we can release them to parents to either attend

the event themselves or to sell on to other parents.

Injury to athlete

In the event of athletes missing a competition due to an injury and are resting on medical

advice, we regret to inform parents that no refunds can be processed for the competition

entry fee, nor the spectator tickets. We won’t receive refunds from the Event Providers,

therefore we are unable to pass on refunds. We recommend that all athletes/parents who

find themselves in this position, and no longer wish to attend the competition, sell their

Spectator Tickets to another parent. We will do our best to assist with this. 

Red Zone Violation or dismissal from Team

In the event of athletes missing a competition due to a Red Zone Violation or a general

dismissal from a Team due to athlete/family fault, either planned or sudden, we regret to

inform parents that no refunds can be processed for the competition entry fee, nor for the

spectator tickets. We won’t receive refunds from the Event Providers, therefore we are

unable to pass on refunds to parents. We reserve the right to withhold Spectator Tickets

ordered and paid for, for upcoming competitions, in case they are needed for a sub coming

in for the athlete in light of the gap they have left. If they are not needed by us, we can

release them to parents to either attend the event themselves or to sell on to other parents.

Hotels and Transport

CVA is not liable for lost funds for any transport or hotel costs for the season.

We recommend that all parents book flexible tickets and refundable rooms, if they are

choosing to stay over near to any venue, in case there are any last-minute scheduling

conflicts or changes which are out of our control. If CVA are booking this then refunds will be given as we receive them & no earlier (& for the amount refunded, split between the number of participants).
