Coach Sarah - Head Coach & First Aider
Sarah is the founder of Cheer Valley, realising her love for cheerleading at just 15 years old and wanting to start her own team as there wasnt any in the area. Becoming Blackburn with Darwens Cheerleading Coach she has taught hundreds of cheerleaders with some having gone on to win Worlds Titles. National Champion Co-ed Level 4 & Street Cheer teams have been some of Sarah's personal Coaching successes. Now taking on the role as Head Coach, Sarah is still active in Coaching but plays a major role in organisation too.

Alison - Staff Member
Alison has been in the team since 2005 when her daughter Ellie enrolled with the team. Always taking on an admin role and willing to help Alison is now our treasurer, registration co-ordinator and main go to when you arrive at your session. We wouldnt be anywhere near as organised without this fabulous lady on board.
Coach Ellie - Coach & First Aider

Ellie joined Cheer Valley at the age of 5 in 2005 and her love for cheer just grew every year. Now our most technical advanced Coach and cheering on her University Team (EHU) plus in 3rd year of Uni studying a teaching degree her dedication certainly shines through. A firm favorites with all of the athletes and a fountain of knowledge Ellie is a great asset to the coaching structure.
Coach Gemma - Coach
Gemma started off cheering in her high school (St Wilfreds) then became a mum to 2 beautiful twins. After a long break (& being roped in by Sarah) she decided to come and have a look at Cheer Valley with one of her daughters and never left......... hehe! A wonderful, kind, compassionate Coach who always has a minute to listen to the athletes stories or give extra help with a skill they really want to get. Gemma gives so much and is super dedicated, we're so happy to have her on our Coaching Team.

Leonie - Trainee Coach
Leonie began cheering with Cheer Valley at the age of 6 as well as being a keen martial artist she was always flexible. Becoming a flyer she entered many competitions and won many titles. She then moved towns and cheered for Limitless, her highlight competing at the European Cheerleading Nationals. Now a wonderful mum to her 3 year old daughter Leonie is back in Blackburn and returned to the club to take on a Coaching role. We cant wait for her to get that updated qualification and really get stuck in with choreo for next season. Watch this space!
Keira - Trainee Coach

Keira started her cheerleading journey at the age of 8 with her younger sister following. Keira has always been a keen tumbler and soon became our top flyer, always wanting to improve and be the best. It was no suprise to us that when trying out at a higher level team in Manchester they scooped her up and she was immediately competing at higher levels. From there Keira went on to compete in the Cheerleading Worlds placing 3rd on the worlds stage and coming home with a globe. Keira is now coaching our Junior team and we can not wait to see them perform at our next competition.

Isla - Assistant Coach
Isla started off cheering at a young age with a programme in Chorley, however she decided it wasnt right for her and decided to leave. After a few years break her mum contacted Sarah asking if she could come to try CVA. Isla has definitely found her cheer home and become an absolute favourite with the athletes. The little ones cling to her and the older ones look up to her. Competing in the Celebs team not only is she talented but also a fabulous, dedicated Assistant Coach.
Millie - Assistant Coach
Millie began cheer at 8 years old at a programme near by. She joined CVA in 2024 and says she already feels at home in such a short amount of time. Her love for cheerleading has grown much more since joining Cheer Valley and we can tell her confidence has come on leaps and bounds too. Always a firm favourite with our tiny cheerleaders Millie is kind, thoughtful and a great leader. Millie says she loves the community feel of the club and thinks the children are so sweet. Her favourite thing about the club is that everyone is so supportive and encouraging (as are you Millie). A fabulous, dedicated Assistant Coach.
Junior Coaches - Nyla, Lillie, Maisie, Taryn, Willow
The girls all decided on a Coach trip home from competition that they'd love to come and be a part of the coaching staff and wanted to train up to be Assistant Coaches. Starting our trainee Coaches off so young really helps our athletes to have positive role models within the club and many then aspire to be a junior coach themselves. The girls all attended a training course at the end of last year, learning lots of choreography skills which they will be putting into practice before the start of next season. They give up their own free time to come down and help these teams and we are all so very proud of them. Thankyou.
